Kurang manis tapi pahit

Assalamualaikum all,

This morning while playing with my dearest grandson, Eizwan (who is so cuddleable just like Casper and Tweety Bird), my mind took me to the theatre i watched last night at The Actors Studio Bangsar title "Kurang Manis' by The Instant Cafe and played by many 'theatre maniac' Well though I had to pay RM72, i think it's worth it. We (hubby, daughter and me) really enjoyed the show. Didn't want to miss any minute (we didn;t even left the studio during the transmission). We really had a good laugh throughout the show. I could even see (even in the dark) every single one of the audience did their parts well...to forget their stress and to laugh at the 'comedy' presented on the stage, ...comedy full of 'messages'....and messages that cut through the hearts of the audience, i can't tell how deep is the cut of others but as for me ...the cut is very-very deep. Piercing and really hurts!. Not because i'm a Malay but because i'm a Malaysian Malay Muslim. The characters mentioned in the show (though said to be coincidence) are mostly Malaysian Malay Muslim?)...I don't know whether to be ashame or to be angry. I know that we are Truly Malaysian but as i always said to my son children especially to my son, everything must be in moderation...but last night's show was way above, below and away from moderation!...
Well perhaps i'm being very sceptical about this whole thing...(sorry Bob)...but i wondered last night (sepanjang jalan balik rumah after the show)...show ni untuk siapa? Melayu? Indian? Chinese? Serani? or 'orang-orang atas?.. (i think i saw some of orang-orang atas' yang watched the show last night with their wives). ...yang attended ramai yang Bumiputra...
Perhaps theatre is 'the way out' for Malaysian to unveil their discontentment (oopps betul tak perkataan ni?)

Anyway...it's just a show...up to us the audience to think what is right and what is wrong....but again....anything we do...must be in moderation....

Instant cafe pernah perform once untuk bnm punye annual dinner. Apparently that is what they are good at (kondem2) gov or malaysian style. Ada ke dia hantam samy vellu and other G masa annual dinner BNM. Hello, Bank Negara = Kementerian Kewngn... does it ring a bell? Pasni jgn harap dpt job unless a new Gov emerges la..

@shuz, thank you for sharing ideas and opinions. Betul lah,..sometimes these people ni tidak tahu nak gunakan the freedom yang kerajaan bagi. Though this might be their way of expressing themselves but again .......moderation.
